              CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION, P.C., under the direction of Attorney J. Cameron Chappell, offers legal or dispute resolution services to clients who are facing any variety of legal issues.  CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION is conveniently located and offers a private, comfortable and intimate setting in which to discuss and succeed in arriving at the best possible resolution to disputes.

Formerly a partner in a Massachusetts civil litigation firm, Attorney Chappell developed CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION as a vehicle to offer to clients either the more traditional approach to resolving legal issues in the court room, or the somewhat less traditional options, (often known as ADR, or Alternative Dispute Resolution techniques), which are currently available to resolve some, if not all aspects of their disputes in a location completely removed from the court room.

Recognizing not only the needs of clients facing the enormously complex and sensitive legal, financial and emotional issues involved in family or small business partnership disputes, but also the current trend in many of our courts to utilize mediation techniques as the "first stop" in court based litigation process, Attorney Chappell set out to enable her clients to work more effectively within the court system, and to expand the sometimes limited remedies available to clients in court.  By helping clients to participate in a meaningful way to work toward resolution of their issues, CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION strives to enable them to attain more personalized and satisfying resolutions, whether in a court room or in a private setting.

At the direction of the client, CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION provides either traditional court room representation, or a comprehensive alternative approach to resolution of legal issues.  The client can select the method, or methods, which best address their needs considering the legal, practical and emotional issues facing them as a result of their particular dispute.  The client has choices, wherever desirable or possible, to select what they feel is the approach designed to work toward the best possible solution.  CHAPPELL LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION is there to help clients understand their options and work effectively toward the desired resolution.

Attorney Chappell is admitted to the practice of law in Connecticut State Courts, and in Massachusetts State and Federal Courts.   She is certified in Collaborative Practice by the Massachusetts Collaborative Council, is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is trained in mediation pursuant to M.G.L. ch. 233, s.23C, working with a network of trained mediation professionals.  She is a member of several Bar Associations, including Federal and State associations.
